BIRTH DOULA CARE

After attending several hundred births in the past 12 years, I can confidently say that every birth is unique! Families birthing in the Cowichan Valley are so fortunate to have both home and hospital birthing options as well as wonderful care providers. I work in tandem with your birth partner and health care providers to care for you in your birth experience by providing non-medical physical, emotional, and informational support.

All birth doula care starts with a complimentary consultation where you can get to know me, share your hopes and concerns for your birth, and ask any questions that have been on your mind about birth, babies, and doula care.

*Your doula will be masked at all times while working in-person with you at your home and at the hospital in addition to monitoring themselves for symptoms (change in taste/smell, cough, fever, fatigue, etc.), frequent hand washing and sanitizing, and following all provincially and federally recommended COVID-19 preventative measures.
**Currently, Cowichan District Hospital is allowing 2 support people per birthing person including doulas. Should this change and doulas are no longer allowed into your birth, virtual support can be provided (hospital wifi is free) should you wish.
